Watercolor Silence

The bowed portrait dissolves gradually into untouched paper. Warm saffron washes are balanced by a few charcoal-gray blooms and spare ink accents.

How the style is built

Transparent glazing, wet-on-wet edges, dry-brush passages, splatters, and generous negative space create an exceptionally light composition.

What to notice

The unpainted left side is active space. It deepens the sense of inward attention around the lowered face.
